What types of mailboxes do you offer?

We offer physical private mailboxes at our 418 Main Street location, virtual mailboxes for businesses that need a Vancouver address without a physical presence, and mail forwarding for customers who've relocated but want to keep receiving mail here.

How much does a mailbox cost?

Pricing depends on box size and rental term. Monthly, quarterly, and annual plans are available. Visit our Mailboxes & Postal page for current rates, or come in and we'll walk you through the options.

Can I use the mailbox as a business address?

Yes. Many of our mailbox holders use their box as a registered business address. You get a real street address — 418 Main St — not a PO Box number. It works for business registration, CRA correspondence, and anywhere you need a physical address on file.

Can I rent a mailbox online?

You can start the process online through our website. We'll set up your account and have the key ready for pickup. You'll need to come in once with government-issued ID to complete the rental — Canada Post requires it for all mailbox agreements.

What is mail forwarding?

If you move away from Vancouver but still receive mail at your box here, we'll collect it and forward it to your new address on a schedule you choose — weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Forwarding fees depend on volume and destination.

Can I receive packages at my mailbox?

Yes. We accept packages on your behalf from Canada Post, Purolator, FedEx, UPS, and couriers. Small packages go in your box. Larger ones are held behind the counter and we'll notify you. There may be a holding fee for oversized items stored beyond 7 days.

What types of keys can you cut?

Standard house keys, apartment and condo keys, padlock keys, mailbox keys, cabinet keys, and some automotive keys. If it's a standard pin tumbler or wafer lock, we can almost certainly cut it. Bring the original or the lock itself.

Can you copy RFID fobs and cards?

Yes — we can clone most building fobs and RFID access cards. Bring your existing fob or card and we'll duplicate it. Some high-security or encrypted systems can't be copied, but we'll tell you upfront if that's the case.

Do I need an appointment?

No. Key cutting and RFID cloning are walk-in services. Most jobs take under 5 minutes. If you're coming for a large batch (10+ keys), calling ahead is appreciated so we can make sure we have the right blanks in stock.

What if the key doesn't work?

Come back with the key and the lock. If we cut it and it doesn't work, we'll recut it at no charge. Key cutting is a precision service but occasionally a blank doesn't match perfectly — we stand behind the work.

📦 Postal Services

Stamps, shipping, and everything Canada Post

Is this a real Canada Post location?

Yes. We operate as an authorized Canada Post retail outlet. You can buy stamps, send letters and parcels, pick up packages with delivery notices, and access the full range of Canada Post services — same as any corporate post office.

Can I pick up a missed delivery here?

If your Canada Post delivery notice card lists our location as the pickup point, yes. Bring the card and government-issued photo ID. We hold packages for the standard Canada Post holding period.

Do you sell shipping supplies?

Yes — boxes, padded envelopes, packing tape, and bubble wrap are available in-store. We can also help you pack and weigh items if you're not sure about the best way to ship something.

Can I send international mail from here?

Yes. We handle international letters and parcels through Canada Post. Customs forms are available at the counter and we can help you fill them out if needed. Rates are the same as any Canada Post outlet.

🛒 Online Orders & Support

For our online store customers

Do you have an online store?

Yes. Office supplies, mailbox rentals, and select services are available through chinatownheritagepost.com. Online orders for physical products ship from our 418 Main Street location.

How do I track my order?

You'll get a tracking email when your order ships. You can also check your order history any time. If tracking hasn't updated in a few days, email us.

What's your return policy?

Office supplies can be returned within days if unused and in original packaging. Key cutting and RFID services are non-refundable. Mailbox rentals have their own cancellation terms. Full details on our Return Policy page.
